Cant find a Intake Carb Holder Set for 94 1000F
Anyone know where I can get a set for my 94 CBR 1000F ? I found Partsmore has some but there for 1987-1992 for 44 bucks. Will the 87-92 intake carb holders work on the 94? Same diameter??
If worse comes to worse I will take the old ones off and measure the outside diameter of the intake and carb, then go to the auto parts store and see if I could match a radiator hose ( inside diameter ) and just use the straight part of the hose. May have to change the clamps but I bet it would work. I bet if I can get the right diameter hose and clamps I can do it for under 20 bucks.
My current ones are OEM and cracked. Only 19 yrs old

Don't consider using radiator hose as it is not a type of rubber that is compatible with hydrocarbons , it is designed to handle water and coolants not fuels and oils.
I found this out a number of years ago when I used 5/8" heater hose for the oil filter bypass / relief hose on a Mk2 Jaguar , it turned all soft and soggy in fairly short order ,luckily no damage but a good lesson.
The silicone type hose favoured by the Go-fast boyracers in their noisey turbo'd tinboxes may be a better bet ,but I doubt that it would be stiff enough to support your carbs(no innuendo intended) I have however been wrong before and it may be OK
Good luck

As an emergency use the radiator hoses but as JK says, find the right ones as soon as you can - you may find them on e-Bay or ask Aussie Johnno - he may have some..................
