If you can, post up a video on Youtube, at cold start up and at normal operating temperature. You may be worrying about nothing.

So I managed to do a cold run vid and warmed up vid.

The Cold run Link: Cold Run CbR 1000f 1990 - YouTube

Run link After 150 KM: Warmed up Run Cbr 1000f 1990 - YouTube

Now strange is that oil change is done and new battery. So it is scary when it all most starts to die even on warm run and Seems that the rattle gets louder when warmed up but I am confused there...

She does sound a little sloppy. I guess if it weren't for the CCT we'd have nothing to bitch about.

Well also the thing is that it has gone quieter than when I first bought it two months ago. A lot quieter. I havent managed to do a lot with it tough.

Just changed valves, oil, oil filter and a battery.

It could be also the fact that I was riding short distances also when snowing and minus one or few degrees. Now the weather has gone warmer and that most scary noise has gone quieter on cold start... A Lot. But if you see the end part of warmed up Vid you see why I am worried. That rattle Is more louder there than on cold start plus it starts dieing for some unknown reasons.

Now I am no expert on mechanical side but I recon it should nt do that?

One small thing that still needs to be done tough is that I need a new spark plug

Skips a beat. And that seems to be from that. Checked it, a bit dodgy one one is.

TimBucTwo... I love Honda bikes. Most fool proof

Me : next winter I'd take cafe of it - but depends on how much you expect to ride
this season - lots of long trips - meh - then I'd do the CCT with a new cam chain.

Noticed your tach was reading below 1000 rpm. Maybe adjust idle up to 1100. You might run 20/50 oil, but that might not be wise as far north as you live with the colder temps.

As old as these bikes are, new plugs and spark plug wires would be a good idea

Sprock --- Well I use it every day for short distances and around 100 to 300 KM trips on weekends.

Three trips comin up this year, One in May for 700 Km one in June 1500 Km and maybe even longer one in Jul/August.

Since the rattle has shrinked a Lot, I m thinking that maybe should see after the June s trip. Just to see how it goes. Or as soon as I hear that noise again...

wooferdog-- Adjust the idle... wanna talk about it closer?

Has anybody have a knowledge from a good example video about a bad CCT run?
