Oh yeah. Gasket showed up last Thursday. In the interim I did 'Bears coil how-to. Let me tell you she's running great. Man, what a difference.
As far as the CB1000 pans go. I think if you just remove the barrel shaped oil return pipe from an early model CBR, you can make that pan work. Or grind it down. Either/or
To me, that cast in well and that barrel shaped pipe seem to serve the same function. That would be to regulate flow of return oil into the sump.
P.S. I used the Permatex #1 to seal it up. In the past, I would have used the old-school Indian Head Shellac for this job

Just got the Oil Pan for the 350 today and yup Ulta copper, who needs gaskets! UPS guy looked at the Jag and Beemer and said W0w your doing something right, Lol little does he know I'm poor and can only own them cause I do all the work! Hah but it made me feel good.
Ohh just reread ur post (my ultra copper comment on your permatex was cause of the company not the application).
