Default Brighter Headlights? Electrical problems?

Okay so my bike is crashed and has no fairing. It has a dim little 3 1/2" light bouncing arround on there just to be legal right now (even though it probally isn't) I want to go for the dual headlight look kind of like the Triumph speed tripple without spending a lot of money (but still being able to see) so I bought some driving lights and plan on aiming one low with it's 55w light and wiring it to my low beam then aiming the other one a little higher and putting a 100w bulb in there for the high beam. Anyone see any problems with this?

I've run a 100w high beam in my prior bike (Suzuki GS500) without any problems but will it be okay on this bike? I don't plan on running both lights at once. I've seen a post on here of someone who melted some electrical connections and don't wnat the same thing to happen to me. Should I run it through a relay?
Can the charging system handle the load? I'd also like to add heated grips in the future and ton't want to overload the thing.

Any advice on brighter lights or other power hungry accesories would be apreciated, Thanks.

The charging system will handle the load. I thinks it's aroundlike 450 watts. Yes, run it off a 30 amp relay! Don't try to run 100 watt bulbs through a switch only. Far to much resistance and you will burn something up. I'm thinking of putting a relay on the stock setup just to get a little more voltage to the lights. They suck compared to nice H4 Silverstars. I'm not a fan of that silly adapter for the H4 bulbs either.
Why don't you look for a Speed Triple that's getting parted and grap the headlights? Check Ebay for them. Fab a mount and they are ready to light the way!

Yeah, I'd grab the speed tripple headlights, but everyone wants them so you can't really find them for cheap. They're basically just a couple 4 inch or so headlights. If my $20 driving lights don't work too well, I may just get a standard 7 inch headlight and some universal brackets. Someone on here has done that and it looks pretty good, plus the visibility is proven on just about every thing out there anyways.

I was really just worried about the electrical load, now that I know it isn't a problem, mabee I'll go with dual 100watters!

Opps... I was wrong. It's 350 watts output on the alternator.
