Default brakes on my 1988

It is time to replace the stock rotors on my bike. Looking at the prices for replacements it is about 400-500 dollars. SinceI am going to invest at least this amountI am considering upgrading the whole brake system, rotots, calipers, pads and braided SS lines. Will the calipers and rotors from a newer CBR1000RR fit this bike? I occasionally see newer brakes on ebay and was hoping they would work. Thank you.

Jeff

only the stock brakes from honda cost that much, u can get a cheap aftermarket set for about 110-120 each.

Try ebay- decent shape used rotors come up ocassionally for relatively cheap. To expand your search, check the ebc brake catalogue, and check to see what other Honda models take the same aftermarket rotors as your model bike. If they take the same aftermarket rotors, used stock rotors from those bikes should work. The EBC catalogue can be found here.
