Brake Problem
Ok, I did something very stupid. I needed new tires, took the wheels off, told my friend that was helping me to be sure not to press the brake pedal or lever... While the shop was putting my tires on, I eliminated my fender (looks pretty good). When I put everything back together, I began checking the lights on the back and depressed the brake lever about one and a half times. The front wheel is dragging a bit and the lever seems hard. The shop manual says take it to Honda, but I am not inclined to do so. By the way, I have a '94.
Make sure you have the axle spacers in the correct side.
There should be appx equal distances between the fork and the disc on each side.
Undo the left pinch bolts and bounce the bike up and down a bit to align the forks.
Then re tighten the pinch bolts.
When you are sure the wheel and forks are straight - then play with the brakes.
Lever would not be hard if it needed bleeding - it would be soft.

There are two different spacers on my bike: a smaller one on the right and a larger one on the left (I had to verify this by looking at the microfiche, the shop manual shows them as being the same size.) I will loosen the left pinch bolts as you said and bounce the bike up and down a bit... but I think the issue is the brake pad making contact with the disc BEFORE I press the lever. I think that is why it's dragging. BTW I torqued everything down to spec.
Sounds like something's just not sitting right. See if the pistons can be pushed back into the calipers a bit (as if you were changing the pads) then see if the wheel runs freely. This will at least rule out a stuck piston. If the wheel runs freely I'd say something's up with the spacers so take the wheel off and start again.
I took the calipers off, and pressed them in, loosened the left pinch bolts and bounced it up and down a good bit, and everything has worked itself out. I went for a ride to break in my new Roadsmarts. Thanks for the input and help!
