I still have a problem around 7500rpm, do you reckon I should give the bike a run without the air filter to see if there is any change

If your bike is runninig rich then removing the air filter, or installing a k&n will make it leaner. if you have backfireing and poping then a more restrictive filter like a paper one will make it richer. Has your bike sat for a couple years at one time? You may have to clean the varnish out of your carbs and jets.

It has a K&N now,
I have had the bike for nearly two years, brought it from a bike shop so I have no history on it.
At about 7500 -> 8500, it will miss and play up, 8500 -> 11000, it's all good.
I figure that it's either fuel or electrical, the bike seams to run better on the 95octane+10%Ethernol.
I've have notice lately some popping when descending small declines at low speed(10-20km) when the throttle is backed off, feels like it's running on two cylinders, buy the bike idles fine.
I've orded the value tools, so I can do the value clearances, I think theres a slight tap from there. cc&cct been done and value+cab sync was done as the same time, but I still had this problem

When does the rev limiter kick in as 11000 is in the red (I don’t mean to rev it that high, it just gets there really quickly once I struggle pass 7500/8500)

I rode the bike today without the air filter and it ran a bit better power wise. The problem I have around 7,500 to 8,500 was still there but nowhere as bad, It’s sounding likeI have acarburetion problem.

I will be putting the air filter back in before riding it again

sorry for the thread hijack
