So do oil stealing fairies come and attack your bike while you're asleep at night?

Can anyone put their hand on their heart and say they check the oil level in their Subaru every time before they start it?

I certainly don't; before a trip of any significance, yes, but we all get to know our vehicles, be they two or four wheels and no one, I'm sure can honestly say that they check the oil level every day.
More a sign of the times I think, otherwise they leave themselves open to litigation if anyone ever has an oil related problem, ''the Haynes manual said I didn't have to check the oil every day'', bleat, bleat, whine, whine! 'I'm an idiot and none protected me BOO HOOO!

ha, ha.... I'm lucky if i check mine once every couple of months & i use it everyday.

Shure glad i don't have non of those oil stealing fairies in my garage. Although, I did find a large puddle of yellow liquid underneath her one morning which i though was a bit odd. Was gonna stick my finger in it & have a good sniff (as you do) but lucky i didn't cos there was a big **** hedgehog hiding in the corner of the garage. He done his buisness under my bike !

Just do as the manual says.. check oil on center stand, i wouldn't bother with raising the front.

And that is the moment that you realize that you are so lucky not to have tasted it to see if it's antifreeze.
