Speaking of titles, what went down with the Cupcake thing?

Very quiet on that front.

the bike is my dads 1993 cbr100f with 32,000 miles.

I checked the voltage at the battery and it all meets spec. Regulator looks fine. not brown or anything. The only connector that was burnt was the starter solenoid but i replaced all that.

i even had two mechanics check the charging and they said it met OEM spec.

I dont know where else to look now.

IMO

if it was checked thoroughly and verified to be charging correctly then there's only one item left, the battery, since it starts no problem on a
full charge ...... then the battery even if it's new is toast and I would not be so sure your R/R 100% either if it's bad it's overcharging the
battery and basically cooking it nicely leading to increasing inability to hold a good charge

this is the scenario that played out with my 1990

Remedy bought a new AGM style battery and new regulator (Electrex UK Version !!!!) - never looked back since

Ain't no ***** worth $500
No matter how good it looks.........
Besides, people don't own cats, cats own people
Unlike a dog who'll stay with you through thick and thin, a cat is like a cheap tart - gone when the going gets rough.......hehehe

$500 is TWO sets of Gold X-link and sprockets here, TK and change enough for a month's supply of viagra and a sixpack hehe
And I can go to the pound and bring home as many pussies as I want, free !

Yeah, I totally put it out there knowing I was going to get grief about it.

Cest la vie.

Oh well it did distract attention from Sprocks transgender experiment.

Funnily enough Shadow, Birmans are known as the dog of the cat world. They follow you around just like a dog does; as I sit here typing, our current one is sitting on the table beside me watching the screen and trying to catch the cursor.

jam...totally feel for ya dude. my bike is a 93 cbr as well....almost exact same symptoms as yours at the moment. turns out mine has a bad r&r AND stator. I couldnt keep her running long enough to take it to a shop so with the guidance of these fine fellas (and perhaps ladies), some patience, lots of reading, i am now a world renowned r&r and stator expert. (not really)
Hang in there bud....these guys know what their talking about. Dont suppose its something simple like a loose or really hot battery cable? Perhaps ground wire from the r&r loose or fried?
Anyway...good luck....OH....and...if you do decide to sell or part out...dude...call me first lol

And try to post what you found the problem was if you get to that point. Its like a closure thing....hate threads that leave you hangin.......
