Take a look around the clutch area .....it sounds like an intermittent grabbing
sound to my ears .....clutch plates or bearings etc. it does not seem like a noise
that is in sync with the motor rpms..

Just my 2 cents

after making the video, that was the last of the noise. I took it for a cruise around the block and, the valves sound alot noisier then I remember. maybe I need to do that valve adjustment afterall.. im lost on what to do. I cant even hear the faint sound of it I heard before. I hate to just start stripping it down, if I cant reproduce the sound/issue. Also it seems after the bike is warmed up, its almost impossible to start back up.. has to be valves eh?

Oh yea btw, thanks for all the input.. makes me feel better to know im not dealing with this, totally alone. I have no friends that have bikes, so without CBRF id be all on my own to figure out every little thing that comes up.

Yep, I'd certainly have a good look at the oil/antifreeze for sure, and recheck your valves. Noisy valves are ones on the loose side. If they are in spec, tho, they are fine. I've never met a honda without a little valvetrain noise. Plus, if you happened to take that little spin without a helmet on, the motor is gonna sound a lot louder than with a helmet...
The hard starting is probably carb related, tho, like classic said.
I wonder if maybe you're getting excess fuel in one of your cylinders? Hmm..

Gee , I think I would have removed at least the rocker cover and alternator cover to check for anything obvious first ...
Mate ...did you check the oil for any signs of anything strange? ....water ect ?

and yes you are dead right , you are never alone with this place behind you ....

If she is hard to start after being warmed up , it could be a few things ...and more than likely carb related rather than valves , although checking them again may help ...
Yea either gutsy or idiotic.. (im leaning more towards idiotic, ) I just couldn't stop myself since I noticed the sound stopped I had to hear what the motor sounded like with a load on it, why? I dunno.. I told you it was probably idiotic. Now writing it out into words sounds a lot dumber than it did when I got the idea.

I did at least check the oil.. Ive blew a head gasket on a pontiac one time, so I do know how to recognize that "chocolate milk" look or oil in water, and no from what I can tell it looks clean, I've taken a picture and uploaded it to the site. I do notice a strong 'gas' smell to the oil. I think I read on Dans Motorcycle repair course he states gas smelling oil is a result of improper float levels correct? so it looks like the carbs are coming back off, no doubt. This weekend I am going to pull the rocker cover and try some ideas u guys gave me to see if I can pinpoint something.

I'll bet the "wet" cylinder is the one closest to the ground when the bike's on the sidestand.......
Also - dump the oil and refill as Steve said.
