Yes it can be adjusted on the bike, though you need to strip the side panel first and space is very tight so it's a fiddly process. A remote adjustment would be handy, though I don't know where you'd mount it and I'm not sure they make one for our bike.

On www.davequinnmotorcycles.com, the original Hagon NA distributor, it indicates that the remote preload adjuster can be ordered on a new shock. It can not be retrofitted.
I've been trying to justify the purchase of a new shock for the last two years. Either a Hagon w/remote preload and single damping adjuster or for about $150 more, a Pensky , no remote but separate comprsion and rebound adjusters.

The UK Fireblade, is that the same as the US CBR900, CBR929, CBR954, or CBR1000RR?

CBR900 Slowpoke, just check the Hagon website to make sure of the model and that the part No's match up

Here's a link http://www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/catalo....aspx?TypeID=M

I've just looked at the site and it has been updated and the part No's have changed. They were the same part no's before the update, but I'm going to edit my earlier post, wouldn't want anyone to waste their money!

The good news is they now list a shock with remote adjustment for our bike, expensive though.

A question:

Are the rear shocks any different on a 96-98 fv to my 93 fp ??

As Hawk pointed out these shocks im not sure wich would be best?
Either the name i know but its used & not for my year of bike

^^^^^^^^

Just checked the part No's on the Hagon website and they're both M61090 from 87-99.

Hi guys,

after playing a lot with the settings I decided to get another shock. I got the one it was on ebay. I offered $50 and they accepted, so I ended up paying about $68 including shipping. I installed yesterday (about 2 hr process), and tested it today. Man, what a difference. Now it does feel like a wonderful bike. There is no doubt that my old one was completely busted. Now I am wondering if there is any why to repair it. Otherwise I guess it will just go to the trash.

Thanks a lot for your comments.
