D'you have a radiator cover ? Sometimes the bolts work loose on the screen and it buzzes, or the tabs break. NOT a camchain issue, unless they've moved yours to your radiator...

What does the rattle sound like ?.... technical descriptions below ...
metallic ? ( tinkle tinkle chinka chinka, )
or plastic-ie ? ,( buzzzz click buzzz) )

Wot no plastic rubbing zzzzzt, zzzt ?

GOTTA LOVE IT (falls over laffin, chokes on morning coffee)

Those damn rattling noises are sometimes hard to locate. I just had a similar problem. It turned out to be the rubber thingies that are over the caliper pins at the bottom of the calipers up front. tinkle...tinkle...tinkle while going slow on bumpy roads.

I could not locate the source until I grabbed the caliper and shook it. The right side was the bad one. I took it apart and wrapped electrical tape over the rubber part to tighten it up while the new part was on order. The new part came and the other side started to rattle (that's where the new part is now as the right side has the tape fix for now).

The noise was more like clinkle ....clinkle....clinkle....

First thing I would do is, if the rattling sounds like it is plastic, then remove most fairings and see if it goes away.
Second, as mention already, check the radiator mounts and screws (this was my source of vibration).
Third, check the fuse block, it might be loose and hitting the plastic panels.
Fourth, check the headlight and see that the reflector is intact.

Come back and let us know what was it, when you find the source.

Best clue is
"when you turn the steering it goes away"
I think the Baron is probably right - process of elimination.
Check the little plastic panel under the headlight - may not be secure.

I'm still laffin at the descriptive noises
