Default 87 Handle bar wieghts

Can anyone tell me how to remove the inner handlebar wieghts on my 87 Hurricane. One of the end wieghts broke off and I have to get the piece out to replace it right?
Thanks for any help.

The throttle side may require that you remove the rubber grip, so you can see the hole in the handlebar, under the grip, which holds the throttle assembly on the bar.
I'd just fit different bar ends with those rubber bits that expand as they tighten.
They should fit without any aggro as the shafts are shorter than the std bar ends.......
Do as Steve suggests to remove the bar inners.........

The inner weights are held in by internal retainer clips. To access them remove the rubber grip (clutch side) & throttle twist grip to expose the bare handle bar. I can't remember if there is one or two small holes each bar (I think two). The locking part of the retainer sits in these holes. Push the clip in (through the holes) whilst pulling the weight out through end of the handle bar. It's painful but saves breaking the retainers.

Cut them off and then replace them.

So if I want to do the weights I'll havt to replace the grips as well? The grips are in good condition.

Basically yes. Grips are often glued on, and even if they're not they won't come off easily. Grips are cheap, though.
