Default 6-spoke VFR/CBR wheels on 1000F

Anyone have any experience with fitting a 17" VFR or F2 front wheel with six spokes and a CBR900RR rear wheel on our 1000Fs? I'm a long-time 900RR owner before selling it and moving up to the more comfy 1000F, but really miss the later six spoke design of those wheels, compared to the beefy tri-spoke OEM wheels. It appears a F2 front wheel would bolt up and use the same brake rotors. The 900RR rear wheel is also a 5.5", but I'm not sure about the width of the wheel and if it would fit in my '91 1000F swing arm.

Been poking around this site, and on Google, but haven't found much.

I'm not sure about the VFR wheel on the CBR but here is a great read on the fitment of a non-standard wheel on another bike...............

Alternative Wheel\Rim Fitments - FG\FH\FJ\FK - Honda VFR Club

Measure, measure and then measure again

Cheers, SB

Thanks for the info Seb. I'll keep an eye out for a 90-93 VFR front wheel. I'm pretty sure a 900RR rear wheel will work. I might have to fab a custom-made rear caliper hanger since those wheels have a smaller rear disc.

Not at this time. I've been having charging system woes lately, so all my time has been devoted to not getting stranded with a dead battery again!
