I just bought the bike today. I was looking at buying an '03 CBR 1100XX, but I was a few grand short on cash so I bought the '91 CBR 1000F.

The 1100XX is called the "Super Blackbird"

is the 1000F called the "Hurricane" or is this refearing to a different model?

The 1000F is called the 'Hurricane', but marketing of the name was relaxed after a few years.

 

I thought the CBR1000F was called the fridge?

 

The Fridge comes after the Hurricane.
(Take the Hurricane out, get back and clean the Beer Fridgeout)

 

HaHa, a few thousand short on cash....

Thats how I felt when I got insurance quotes...even my 1987 1000F full coverage is more the half the value of the bike per year. So i'm just rolling with medical for $30 month.

 

That's about what it cost me for full insurance
