I had that problem too. When the wrong bolts are used and the holes don't line up, the parts get stressed in places they weren't ment to.

Before you get too deep into this and may not want to make a huge investment, how does it run and ride? What are the miles?

Default Body Repairs

After I striped it down the only problem i see with the bike is the left front fork is leakin, the carb needs to be re sinked, and lifters may need to be tightened. Got a tick at low rpms. When riding and the rpms are up it goes away. As far as painting it. I do my own paintin so Im not worried about that. I am happy with the way the bike looks, just not happy with the gaps and zip ties that hold the plastics together. I really wanna put it back to duel exhaust to. Having a seat that actually locks down and just me sittin on it isnt the only thing holdin it down would be a great plus! haha. I took a picture of everything that actually lined up on the bike and attached it. If I cant find parts to get it back to normal, ill just have to do some customizin and make something work.

Default The way it rides

It rides and handles just fine, now big issues there. It has almost 41000 miles on it.

Well doing your own paint will save a ton lol....

What's wrong with the seat is the lock busted or is the ring on the bottom of the seat missing? If you need a seat I have a really nice factory black one I'll sell ya real cheap. Its in GREAT shape. The only reason I don't need it is, I got a blue one with my new body.

Can't wait to see your progress! You have a large weath of knowledge here, use it!

As for the "tick" they all do lol. As long as it subsides or isn't REAL bad lol. Again all these gals have one tick, rattle, or another

You have a long life ahead of you in her. Mine has 92200+ and them going over 100K is not uncommon

You said the seat you got is a black one? How much you wanting for it? I have a chance to get a blue one but would rather get a black one.

It will cost you a bit more of but you could try doing this. Buy the hole thing & part it out for yourself. http://sarasota.craigslist.org/mcy/1603175343.html

^^ That was my exact thought, too, Joel.

You'll see them on fleabay pop up from time to time, too. There was blown bike down in FL (i believe) a few months ago that went for about $500 and it had great plastic on it.
