Hi Lads,

Yes definitely my fav colour scheme.

Ok so 24 beers and a few hours later ... swing arm upgrade ... new bearings, seals plus, full blast and clean, a really nice paint job.

Before

After

Stay Tuned... cheers MG

I like my Wilbers:

Not cheap, but perfect for my use of the bike (touring, etc).

Keep up the excellent work.

Cheers

G'Day Guys,

On my path to restoring the unit (CBR1000F 1989) I need to find an original exhaust system, front to back, exhaust covers and all. If you have any connections of any sorts, wreckers, second hand parts dealer (not new) etc in Australia would be very much appreciated.
The previous owner disposed of the twin exhaust and attached a 4 in 1 which just looks wrong. Cheers.

Default 1989 SC24 Exhaust

Hey, the headers are pretty easy to source as they are the same for the SC21 and SC24 . The original 1989 SC 24 painted OEM mufflers are another story... they are like hens teeth and if you do find one it is generally damaged .. grr

I found the heat shields in a wreckers in Melbourne so it’s just a matter of ratting through their old stocks.

So the best alt I have found us from Staintune .. looks similar but always on the hunt for OEM

cheers

Thanks for the update, Something I always fear is the phrase "Hens teeth", even if they have scraps I would give it a go to restore them. Cheers,

CBR 1000F seat
Got around to recover the seat today, used marine vinyl, will see how long it will last.

Very nice and you're guilting me into refinishing my swingarm. I painted it about 15 years ago, but it didn't last.

Did you knock out and replace the bearings? If so - special tool or?
