CBR 1000f possible 6 pot CALIPERS and later clocks
Newbie to forum got my 1991 CBR1000F couple of hours again. Has been streetfightered a bit already and has top yoke for ordinary handlebars and no front fairing or lowers which is where I am going with my new project. What I need to know are there any 6 pot calipers that are straight bolt on or with a little modification you know of as the ones already on are sticking so instead of cleaning up would rather fit 6 pots.
Secondly bike came with no clocks know has ordinary speedo cable and later clocks have speed sensor on engine or other, with mods want later clocks with digital readings etc, thanks

No bolt up's for a Gen 2 (91) 1000F that i know of - you'd have to put Gen 3 forks on
for that ability --------- but why would you want that in any event ??
Normal Clocks were driven off the sprocket cover - so going electronic - well that just
put ya in the whole "custom" clocks line of work ..... should be easy enough to do
though !
Good luck with it all & Welcome to the Forum BTW

Rev counter on a Mk2 is electronic, but if you want "electronic faces", that's an expensive exercise. Speedo as Sprock says runs off the front sprocket through a worm drive. I have seen the electronic face units on what I think started out as a Mk1, but loads of work and wiring fun !
There are no direct bolt on 3 pot calipers for a Mk2 or I'd have fitted them.
I think you may have to find a "superbike" front end with 41/42 mm forks for that.
Also not cheap.
Ditto on the question - with a streetfighter configuration you won't be able to go comfortably and run at 90+ MPH for very long with no fairings. The brakes on a Mk2 are fine and it'd be much cheaper to fit new caliper kits.
Welcome to the asylum !
