Flushmount Signal Help
Ok.. now that the Hotbodies are in the mail. What kind of install time am i lookin at?.It says the blinkers go right into old tree slot.Im hoping for the best but can any one elaborate and let me know how much time im really looking at to install these bad boys and im sure its gonna be worth it..but does anyone have any other opinions.Danke
Did both of mine in 1.5-hr start to finish and that includes removing mids, wiring/soldering in resistors and running light modules and reinstalling the mids...Could probably have done it faster, but im pretty **** when it somes to electrical work and soldering....I installed Watson LED's in front and ClearAlternetives Integrated stop/turn in the rear..
I have got flush mounts on my bike. If you are still using your OEM blinkers on your bike then the time to uninstall them will take longer then it will to install the flushmounts. Depending on your choice of flushmounts the install should take almost no time at all. Some kits require only the use of exstisting wire harness and some two sided tape (3M) which is in the kit. After removing the OEM blinker stems all you usually need to do is apply the two sided tape to the backside of the light, connect the wires, and then place the light over the exsting hole so that it covers the entire hole. Repeat for the other side of your bike but be sure to eye-up the second light so that they are as close as possible to level with each other. Other kits will have you drill some small holes for screws, and still others actually use pieces of wire mesh installed on the inside of the OEM stem blinker hole and metal or plastic clips (which are a pain) to hold the light in place. I hope yours will have the 3M tape because I think its quickest.
