Anyone know where I can find an aftermarket speedometer/meter? The one I have is melting, don't ask me how. I was told that the light inside the meter that makes the face plate glow isn't stock and it's melting the meter cover and the face plate. So I need to find out where I can buy a new one.

I know about the mileage not matching to what it should be. I'm going to look into the DMV and ask about having it authorized by recording the actual mileage when I replace the meter, if possible.

This is my only option because if it doesn't get replaced soon I may start losing the digital readings of speed, trip, etc who knows. Also suggestions are appreciated! THANKS!

 

You could just buy a used one off eBay with about the same miles as yours and no one will be the wiser.

 

There's only one on ebay that matches my bike year/model and I believe it goes out tomorrow. There's 20 bids on it, I won't be able to make it. Do you have any idea why the numbers on the tach are melted?

 

 

Wow i dont what kinda aftermarket bulbs they put in it, but damn those things have got to get hot as hell to melt all that. Take a look in the parts for sale section, maybe someone is parting out a 600rr. And keep an eye on ebay sooner or latter a speedo with a buy it now will come up.
