The owner was the original one, and the stated problem, and reason for parting the bike was popping out of second gear. The bike sat for two years as the story goes, and I had to pull the engine. 300 or so miles away from home. but the price was right! The only downfall was the mileage- 46,000. However, when I drained the coolant, it looked brand new- I looked at the chain, and the wear on the sprockets, and they looked like the contact areas were polished by a machine! The wear was perfect textbook. The owner said that all he ever did was ride it, and take it to the dealer to be regularly serviced, and by the looks of it, HE DID! My clock has almost the same mileage on it, so I'll be curious how long this mill will last?? I will be replacing the transmission set, so I'll not fret with skipping second- Second gear is a very nice gear to have indeed!!
At any rate, Very nice Car- looks like a kick in the seat for sure!
