Default Scotts damper for 93 900rr??

After a few tank slappers I've desided to get a steering damper. I used Scotts before and realy like it. But the problem it that they do not make a mounting kit for the 93-95. I'm wondering if anyone here has seen or has one themselfs. Was there much modification requried? Did Scotts actually have a mounting brackit? Any help would be welcomed before I sink $400.
Thanks

Default RE: Scotts damper for 93 900rr??

I went around asking the same question... Scott's reply = one bolt (where the tank bolts by the neck) wasn't enough for the pressure. I since got the front mount Ohlins on mine. From my research, HyperPro does make a Ducati916 type mount for the 1992-1994 (they started and ended one year earlier for the Euro models. Shindy also makes a cheaper front mount like the Ohlins... I think they run around 275.00. Harris Racing in europe seem to have kits for the 1993's as well. People who do put the Scotts Steering damper from my understanding do a 1996 tank conversion.( Tapping 2 screw mounts on the neck = mounting points for the Scotts Steering) The 1996 and newer tanks are thinner by the rider's leg and supposedly give more comfort when riding(taking corners). They describe our year tanks as "Walls for the knees." [:'(]
