Nah, I'm just a ****....period! LOL. I hang out here occasionally. Not as much as I used to cause mods think I'm a fraud and won't let me post classified ads on here. Be sure and tell everybody what a scam I am Chris.

Being that our bikes are old, I also was here for the classifieds. It is hard finding the right parts sometimes. I venture out and see whats up though, and Delt, a few people trust you

Awww...thanks Mike! You made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside LOL. And yes, parts are getting hard to find. That's one of the reasons it miffed me off that I wasn't allowed to post parts for sale. Try finding an 893 crank sometime....

I read a write up in SUPERSTREETBIKE mag about a 900RR with this motor mod and they had to split the frame and widen it by 2 or 4 inches...is this true...what was involved in this motor swap? I WAS very interested in trying it until I read that article. I dont mind the work, but splitting frames is lik WHOAH.

No and No. You DO NOT have to split the frame, don't know where they got that idea from. It doesn't just "bolt right in" but was very easy (in my opinion) to get in there. You have to drill out lower rear mount hole in frame to 1/2", and use XX adjuster with small spacer and lower rear mount from XX works perfectly. For upper rear mount, just drilling of 2 holes in triangle looking RR mounts is all that's needed. Front mounts have to be made but aren't that big a deal. If I had a welder at home at the time, I could've had motor sitting in the frame in a weekend easily. The hard parts will be fabbing an airbox if using the FI or stock carbs. Also radiator will need some modding to get the fan to fit. If you've never done any fab or mod work, it might be a challenge but I didn't think the swap was bad at all. And the power was definitely worth it!! It's night and day comparison and only adds 40 lbs. weight.
