Default Double Fuel Filter inline

Hi Guys,
I've CBR 919 1998 and in my country the fuel quality is very bad, I am thinking of installing two (Chrome Glass washable ) fuel filter inline. Do you think this will harm the fuel pump or effect the engine performance since you know fuel filters decreases the fuel supply. Any help appreciated

Thanks,
Bakhtiyar

If the first filter is doing it's job it will still get blocked as easy as only having one filter - the second filter will be doing nothing until the first one splits.

A larger filter with more filter area will be better than two smaller ones.

Just make sure you change the filter more often than the service intervals suggest.

If your getting the washable one, just wash it more often. If you are hell bent on running 2 filters, run them in parallel. Split the "in" line to each filter, then tee the "out" line back into one. That way if there is a restriction the fuel can bypass it via the other filter.

Plus what comes through the first, will come through the second too, but those particles are so tiny that I doubt whatever will wiggle through an intact filter will not do any harm in the engine. So my guess would be the same as Demon`s and put them side by side with a few Y-connectors thus increasing the filter area.

Personally I doubt it will do much good compared to one larger. Just make sure you change it every now and then, don`t know what they cost there but in Finland you can get a universal filter from any service station for a fiver...
