Default BigBore CBR900 -93 997

Hello.

Has anyone try to do Old CBR900 Fireblade to 997cm3
example use wiseco 4mm oversize pistons and
Drill out the old cylinder sleevs and put the new one in.

But i want to know what kind of problem i get if i do that kind of job?
I have already bought a new radiator "GSXR1000 06" on my project bike.
So the heat is no problem.
And the new H-Profile Carillo Rods is much stronger than the orginal.

So if anyone has do this kind of project i´m grateful if i get some information
and help?

Thanks upfront

I am also boring my bike right now, can you tell me more on the gsxr radiator swap. I was going to use a zx6 one but is yours a straight swap?

I installed 997 pistons in my 94 couple years ago. Unfortunately I went with cheaper machine shop and they screwed up sleeve install. Bike almost made 2 passes before head gasket burnt into on 3 cylinders. Make sure you're using a shop that knows what they are doing.

I installed on my 92(thats rights92 fireblade) back in 03, the only guy i could get to do the sleeves charged $600. He normally does single cylinder jobs. he messed up one of the sleeved, but he bought new sleeve and had fixed it before he ever finished so that was okay.

After that i it blew the head gasket after about a week. caught it over heating.

Tore it back apart to discover the block wasn't decked to the sleeves just right, on the cylinder that blew the gasket the sleeve was .2mm below block. So redecked block new head gasket. Been great since doesn't overheat or anything.

other mods include clutch springs, pro shift kit, ignition advancer, jet kit, yosh full system, k&n air filter, steel braided brake lines.

now i need to regear and restore with better fairing, bike was high sided by previous owner and sold to me for $600 and i put an ebay set thats okay on it just to get back on the rode.
