any1 have one on their f3? i was thinking of "modding" mine into 1 piece because i dont like the 3 piece look and was wondering how u get the seat off? on the side of the "L" brackets? tight spot but can work aye?

My F3 was just in an accident so it's getting a new paintjob and I molded the three pieces together into one and it looks SO much better!! It was fairly easy to do just took some time and patience to get it to look right. now I can lift up my seat and have some storage. I did have to sacrafice bolting the seat down but it snaps in pretty tight.

I have a 92 f2, and i recently just converted my tail section fromt he 3 pieces to a single piece. I first epoxyed them all togher. Then after that dried I grabbed a dremel and grinded the underneath of the 3 sections smooth. After that i applied a couple layers of fiberglass. I have some pics if you want them. Its still a work in progress (winter) I just started it early. After i finish it i am going to give the whole bike a fresh coat of paint.

My F3 was "molded" together when I got it due to a couple of cracks. I took the bolt that holds the seat out, welded me a washer to the head of the bolt (like a wing nut would be) so all I have to do is squeeze my hand under the side of the tail and screw the bolt out to remove the seat. Been that way for a year or so.

Check out my bike its on the thread Home made custom fairing, I got a solo tail from sharkskinz.com . It only cost 150.00 and you can also shop on ebay to find a solo tail. Or just mod it out and mold it too a tail like others have done in the past.
