New paint job
My winter project for this year is a frame up rebuild of my 2000 f4 . Part of this is tearing off my scratched and bruised fairings . In a effort to save some cash I'm looking to paint them myself, I have a paint gun set and a 70 gal compressor , the only thing I'm missing is the knowledge needed to paint !!!
I peeled all the stickers off, sanded , and bonded all the scars . I just need some help with product selection and any tips people might have ???

my advice is to buy a good quality paint from a body shop supply store in your area they will be able to give you all the info you will need specific to the paint brand you go with. as for tips cleanliness is the most important thing as is gun control (keeping all your distance speed and overlaps consistant)
I have done a little bit body work and paint if you get ppg website they have charts for mixing top coat thinner and hardner dupliacolor offer poor and paint and a wide selection of color probrably the most simple to use compare to mixing every thing plus dups web sight has many of turtorial on how to paint. and practice on somthing you dont care about to get used to painting
I sanded and repaired all the fairings and tank and I primed them the other day !!! I'll post the pictures as soon as I finish this whole project but I am optimistic it's going a lot better than I thought it would !!
