Default Muffler idea. Genius or stupid?

so, i have a ton of plans for my 91' F2 altering its appearance and such, but i found one idea that i really liked. an undertail exhaust. it looks pretty simple, but i have been having one hell of a time finding a decent muffler to fit/look good under my custom 600rr tail. i already have a yoshi rs-3 but because its oval, i think its gonna look kinda dumb under there and i cant rotate it on its side because the outlet is at an angle which would point it either to the left or the right if i did that. so...a buddy at work asked me a question and i cant figure out if he is a genius or just stupid

why dont i put a car muffler on there? there are super cheap, i found one that has a 2.5 inch inlet and my mid pipe is 2" so on a small adapter would be needed . i tried to find the smallest outlet i could and that happened to be a 4" . they do come with a silencer insert that is essentially a big plug with a 2.5 " pipe through the middle of it. i think it might look kinda cool on the back end, like a big rocket as my dad said...

so what are your thoughts? any issues i may run into? just wanna be a troll and say how dumb this is? want me to recap last nights big bang theory in one word? speak up, im here to get every ones view and i need the attention

I dont think using a car muffler is the best route. You dont want to much free flow because you need back pressure or you will burn up your valves. On my first undertail swap I used a 600rr pipe. Worked out pretty good and I was able to get the pipe pretty cheap on ebay.

Well, I found another one. It's a 2inch inlet and 2.5 outlet...so roughly the sane as my muffler now, but its a oval so I think it will look much better than the a$s blaster can

Theres no difference between a car glass pack and a motorcycle exhaust besides a retarded price tag on the motorcycle part. I would love to hear a chamberd car muffler on a bike though, now THAT would be different!

interesting. i couldnt imagine a 2.5" or 3" car exhaust would manage well on a bike, but more power (no pun intended) to you if it works out!
