ok, so i was looking around at led accent kits for my bike. then i got the idea to mix a few colors together to give a glowing hot engine effect. but now i want to find some leds that would look like real flames, like flickering and such. after much searching, i still cant find any. anyone seen anything similar anywhere?

 

You could try sterno.....












Try a hardware store and find those lights that screw into sconces and flicker like a candle.

 

Check out ebay they have led kits that "pulsate". Their relatively affordable. You can maybe get a red and a yellow kit and run them individually (as opposed to running them together). That way u have the red and yellow pulsing independantly. Probably your best bet for a fire-like appearance

ive been real busy with work, and havent had much time to work on this.. but trust me, i am still set on figuring it out! thinking i may have to find an electronics shop, or maybe something online and try to find a few fading modules/boxes of some type to run individually. then waterproof them if need be, and hook them up to mini strips or pods. i was thinking of going with red orange, yellow, and maybe even a little bit of white or blue to make it look more realistic.

main issue now is that it would be a huge cluster of wires, and the boxes i have found so far are pretty large and would take up the entire space under the seat.
