It the writeup, it says the shock link goes into the center stand mount on the motor case. I keep reading about people (stunters) ripping the shock link loose from the motor case (cause they are doing stupid sh*t and over stressing it). This brings me to the question through "Where does the 600RR mount its link?" Does the 600RR also use the motor case or does the frame have a dedicated shock link mount location?

Well this morning I found the answer to my question regarding the shock link mounting location. Found a 600RR swingarm removal how-to and sure enough, there is a picture clearly showing the link mounted to the frame. That explains why the F4s with the RR swingarm can get broken vs. RRs not.
Guess the next thing to look at is how the motor case could be strengthens. Perhaps there is a way to make a steel bracket that would connect to a frame location. Not sure yet but I'll certainly look into it.

Engine case
Ok so I wrecked my 2002 F4I and it ripped the linkage and entire engine back off ot the peice, I am shocked that this could happen because it just ripped the metal like a toy, but I had a head on at 120 so I suppose it was a lot of force. I feel like this is something that Honda learned from and changed because it is a poor idea. I am going to have to buy a new engine back but this is my question.
Did you ever find a alternative way to mount the shock and linkage system directly to the frame?
Thanks, Jackson
