Default Rear Sprockets

Hey i have a 05 CBR 600RR with a full exhaust and power commander and i can do first gear wheelies but i want a little more low end power can i just change my rear sprocket size or do i have to go down on the front then too? Plus i know changing your gearing will effect the speedo and odometer, can i just have a shop recaliberate it or do i have to buy a speedo healer? Thanks to all and i need some insight on the subject!

Default RE: Rear Sprockets

No, you dont need to go down in the front just because you went up in rear. You WILL however need a longer chain. Your stock one wont fit. Yes, it will throw off your speedo and no a shop cant fix it. You will need a speedohealer to fix that. You never want to go less than 15 teeth on the front sprocket as it puts too much bind on the chain. Just FYI.
