Default Radar Mount ?

Has anyone here tried/bought a mount that would secure a radar detector under the front fairing? I have a Escort 8500 and held it up to the bike in different spots and found that the horn is mounted by a bolt plus provides a source of power. If nobody has one or nows where to get one, I'm thinking about making a nice one and possibly selling them to anyone interested. This position would provide some protection from the weather plus keep it out ofsite (unless you got down low and looked back there) while providing a wide open view of the road. Let me know if you have seen something like this already, I'll just buy one then, if not, I'll be cutting out an aluminum one, painting it black, tapping into the horn wires for power and running a warning light up near the instrument cluster. If you have any better ideas/ suggestions, let me know. Thanks

They make radar detectors that mount in your helmet. They look like a vent on the outside of the helmet, and have a few small speakers on the inside to warn you.
