Hey guys,
Looking to put some blue rim tape on my 07 silver/blue cbr. Does anyone know of a good place to get some quality rim tape that will hold during bike washes and weather?

 

Have you checked ebay? I thought about getting some for my bike.

 

It's tape, isn't it all the same? Just go with the pre-curved from e-bay.

 

you cannot go wrong w/ www.tapeworks.com. amazing people to deal w/! they are a bit more expensive than the ebay products which are similar......but i believe you get what you pay for. the tapeworks people are extremely friendly and will work w/ you. damn good people, HIGHLY recommended. (fast shipping too!).

 

Jaynd is correct, I put 21,000 miles on a bike over 2 years and the tapeworks stuff was still just about perfect.

 

The best stuff I've ever used is just regular, OEM quality pin-striping. I can get any color, any thickness at Napa and it's high quality stuff and doesn't come off (even when you want it to, lol.) I always apply the pinstriping to the beaded edge of the wheel because (to me) it looks best there. (though, when you get your tires changed, it usually scrapes them up, so reapply if needed.)

I've done this in red for my two bikes, red to my friends' white/silver 07, silver to my other friends' graffiti, and orange to yet another friends' 06.......and still haven't had a problem.

I prefer reflective.

 

I like the automotive pin striping too. It holds up pretty well.

 

I got some pre-curved tape from GL Sign's on E-bay. They work great. Nice and reflective.

 

I agree with Jaynd. I actually saw this post and took his advice and ordered the Tangerine pin stripe, from Tapeworks. The service was spectacular it shipped in 2 days, and earlier this afternoon i applied it. It looks WAAYYYYYYYY better than the cheap ebay stuff (previously had it on there and didnt match at all). Will post pictures soon
