RE: Power commander question
Installing the PC is Easy.... provided you are comfortable removing bodywork, lifting the tank, unplugging the LOWER injectors & TPS, then pluggin the PC Harness in.
Does it have to be tuned - No. You can download and load one of the "on-line" maps into the PC with a laptop easily, even expirment with different maps for other pipes and see what one works the best. This works well (but not great)most of the time.
Should it be Tuned - Maybe. I perfer a custom map/tune to a downloaded map as I'm very **** retentive about how my bikes run, espicially at on-off throttle. I also have only a handful of guys that I will pay to do a custom map. Becuase there is a big difference between some guy with a dyno and the tuninglink software and soemone who actaully know HOW to create a custom map.

RE: Power commander question
Not really... just follow the directions. basicially you unplug the lower injectors, plug the PC harness into the injectors, then the OEM injector plugs get pluged into a PC harness as well. After that you unplug the TPS, plug in the PC harness to the TPS & the OEM TPS plug gets plugged into the PC harness. Last hook up the ground wire from the PC to negitive battery terminal.
The most common mistake I've seen is plugging the PC injector harness into the upper injectors (on top of the airbox)instead of where they should be - the lower injectors (down in the throttlebodies).
FYI - The two guys I trust to do my mapping in theMPLSareaare: (#1 choice)Doug over at Silverback performance & (#2 choice) Jason over at St. Boni motorsports.
