Default powder coat aluminum?

can u powder coat aluminum? i didnt think you could but i have seen a fe ppl powder coat their frames so im a lil confused?

i want to powder coat my foot pegs black...im goin for the stealth look

Yes you can definately PC your aluminum.

I would anodize them black, it won't add any weight or thickness to the part and you won't have to worry about resanding surfaces so bolts will properly fit.

Yeah my frame and swing arm have been powdercoated black. They are both aluminum on my 900RR its a little more of a pain because of the added thickness of the powdercoat. Make sure you own a good tap and die set and are willing to do the necessary sanding in the right places. I like it better than anodising though because I always scratch my anodised stuff but the powdercoat seems to be a little more durable.

Any metal can be powdercoated. Very big price difference between powdercoat and anodizing.
Powdercoat is the way to go. The powdercoat is very thin, you will not see,notice or feel a weight increase..
