Olson Composites fender eliminator
I was looking for a nice fender eliminator for an '06 F4i and on the Forum and stumbled across one from Olson Composites (olsoncompositedesign.com), which I think is really one of the most attractive kits out there (though it is very expensive). The problem, though, is the fact that their website has no address or phone contact information, and offers to purchase to their e-mail address go totally unanswered, despite several tries over about 10 days. I am beginning to think that they're out of business or just don't care. Anyone have any contact information (beyond the e-mail address, which doesn't work) on them? I'm about ready to give up and move on.
I guess this generally illustrates the problems with internet sites that offer products but no means to establish live contact. I ordered an OEM part from BikeBandit.com, without realizing that there was no way to contact them by phone. Of course they sent the wrong part, and they don't respond (or at last very promptly) to e-mails. I won't use vendors again for which there is no way to contact them in person.

That was my first choice for an eliminator. Emailed them, waited, and waited....and waited. About 2 months went by and I got an email saying they were moving, but they should have some produced soon and would let me know when I could order one. I responded and let them know I wanted one ASAP. It's been 3 or 4 months since that email and I ended up getting a minus one eliminator off ebay and getting rid of the turnsignals by using LED's in the foot pegs. Since I was rear-ended on the first bike I had, I also put on a trailer wiring converter so the signals also flash the brake lights....
I finally heard from the fellow today, and he said that he's getting out of the business (this is apparently a sideline and he's having trouble getting the good carbon fiber because of military demands) and will probably offer the tooling on e-bay. He had one eliminator left, though, and said he'd sell it to me when he gets time to put it together...maybe in a week. We'll see what happens. Too bad, because it's really a great looking kit.
