Im guessing they call it pig spotters because these mirrors allow you to see a larger area behind you? anyways do you think they look good? im thinking about purchasing them for my 2001 f4i but i think they look a liitttle outta place on an f4i what do you think?

 

they have been discussed alot the visibility sucks, they are mostly just for looks....

 

They call them pig spotter mirrors because you could say you have mirrors and you won't get a citation for not having mirrors but they don't work and won't pass inspection. Johnnyh

 

oh i get it, i like the look of mirrors anyways. But im wondering where can i order blue pegs and passanger pegs. I didnt find any on line, so im guessing you have to get them painted?

 

I have pig spotters and you absolutely cannot see behind you. They've been on since I've had my bike so I don't know what it's like to have rear view mirrors. All you can really see is the cars next to you on your blinspot (if you were in a car) but I always turn my head and look back anyway. So at stop signs I occasionally look back to protect myself. They are for looks as zmds said.

 

All my friends have there mirrors removed and some have pig spotters but I on the other habd must have mirrors. After seeing what can happen on a stop light I am allways on the defence especially on intersections. Johnnyh

 

I rode my friends ZX6 with stock mirrors and yeah, there is no substitute for stock mirrors. It felt cool being able to see behind me without turning my head! My bike has had spotters since I bought it, and I just became used to turning my head all the time.
