Don't think that it will, the dampers, especially Ohlins (that's what I have) are all fitted exactly to that certain bike, to meet or exceed specs, etc.....In '05, they changed everything, big difference from the '03-'04, hell, even windscreens won't fit, etc., trust me, I've tried, lol...I'll ask my buddy though, he should know

The damper itself is the same for the 03/04 and the 05/06, but the mounting kit is different.
Be carefull with Linear style dampers... espicially the Ohlins I've had more than a few warrantied or replaced becuase of leaks [:@]. Now I only use the rotory style like the Scotts or GPR. Just my past expericence
But IMHO, unless you are racing or running at the pointy end of the advanced group on track days, you don't need one, the bike is plenty stable. Heck I raced my 03 for a half a year without any damper and only once had a real, true headshake moment (also had a few self-induced one as well - from griping the bars to tightly).
