messing with transmission
I would like to "regear?" my transmission to have better acceleration. I know I can't do this myself but has anyone done it and where can I learn about this -1, -2, -3, +1, +2, +3 stuff that everyone is talking about? I just don't have the obsession for going 300mph or however fast my bike can go I'd rather accelerate faster. If I want more top speed Ill get a liter bike. Any websites that can teach me about that stuff that anyone knows of?
Thanks
Mike

Yeah, the - on the front and + on the rear sprocket just means how many less or more teeth than the stock sprockets. It seems that -1 on the front and +2 on the rear are pretty popular.
Their are definately alot of posts on this topic, and I think I've scene every one of them
. Basically, I'd say either do -1 on the front, stock on the rear or -1 on the front, and +2 on the rear. Go with the later if you really want to wheelie. Me personally, I went with just -1 on the front to keep the front end down as much as I can. It's an easy mod. Just make sure you have stands (or atleast a rear stand) and a good set of sockets. Also, if you do this mod, look into doing a 520 chain conversion.
