RE: Magnesium peg holder -> drill hole ?
Magnesium is funny, won't a magnesium wheel burn? Before you go drilling something like that, I'd really be careful and do some real research. I believe though that if you drill slowly and lubricate you will not reach ignition (near melting)temperature, BUT don't listen to me or anyone on this until you know your alloy type. AND don't drill it anywhere near flammable or combustable items.
Don't lubricate with water either.
I used to build missiles (chemical engineer, not a material and process engineer) and we had people that knew about this stuff. I know it is tricky, but it wasn't my department. Anyway, do some research.

Very Kind Thanx for the reply ! I acctually did it this morning. I found the broken off piece of the peg holder and tested it out on that. Poped the drill bit on, Butter ! I used a brand new (sharp) bits . No cracks , or nothing funny about working with this aloy metal. You can drill it just as good as in the aluminum. I made a temporarry fix for a right passenger's footpeg to be re-joined with the subframe after a lil bump .
