1st off welcome..
2nd..not being a jerk but....do a search on this site its at the top 4th one over. i have posted about 30 times all the links to lowering a bike.. and under the how-to there is a write up on shaving a seat.
plus it keeps you from getting flamed because most people dont like to lower a bike but its all good!

Not flaming, but just be careful on how much you lower because you can start to drag parts if you get into some serious turns. I am notperfectly flat footed on my F4i with regular shoes on, but my riding boots give me an addition inch, inchand a half...super low tech solution to my problem.

hey iam 5-6 and i have a 2001 f4i i just lowered it with a dog bone link and lowered the front the same i found right a way there was a differnce in the sharpnes of turing but other than that it was good i feel more comfy flat footed but as for handeling it works and no problems
