Did you ever get this sorted out?
Mine was the same way, it was a lockhart phillips for my F4i... what i did was splice in the twoturn signalwires (blue and yellow according to my turn signal wires) and used the ground off the tail light harness. The taillight portion plugged into my tail light bulb harness... there should only be two wires spliced, and your brake/running light should just run off the power supply from the "light bulb" harness.
