Ive never drilled rivets out or anything so im hesitant to even try that on a good exhaust. I may ask around town and see if anyone has any experience doing so and try to get some guidance in person. And as far as LED's go, I wired some up a few days after I bought the bike. Cant ever have too many in my opinion!

By gearing you mean sprockets or what? I think mine has a 43 tooth rear sprocket right now. Ive been told for more torque to switch to a 45 or 46 tooth. Any input?

obviously changing your sprockets wont increase actual torque but yeah getting a rear sprocket with more teeth and/or getting a front sprocket with less teeth will increase acceleration, at the cost of lowering your top speed, which really shouldnt be an issue on the street ever. Most people do a -1/+2 sprocket setup (1 less up front 2 more in the rear). Ive always kept my stock gearing so i cant vouch for the acceleration difference but i assume its fairly significant since its so popular. I think it reduces your top end by about 5-10mph. And youll also be cruising at a higher rpm on the highway becaue of that too. Or at any speed for that matter.

-1 front = +3 rear

If you -1 front and +2 rear = +5 rear

I out my bike was running 520DID +3 Rear...when I first purchase it. Now I'm so used to it, don't think I'll got back stock....1st 2nd 3rd...I rarely need to surpass 9000 to hit 100-120mph

Thanks for the ino. I know this is a bit off topic but Im interested now..So if I went -1 in front and +2 in rear would I need to get a new chain? And any recommendation on where to get a good sprocket at a good price? lol

no i dont think you can use the stock chain if you do the -1/+2 however this is a popular conversion so companies like RK just sell the complete kit as a "quick accel kit". Just search for rk quick acceleration kit and youll find tons of places selling it. here it is on motorcycle superstore for $220.

yeah your speedo will be off and youll rack up way more mileage than you really are. if you buy a speedohealer or similar device itll fix those issues. So its just another $100 youll have to spend unfortunately if you dont want to deal with that....and no one really does.

edit: the speedoDRD is a little cheaper
