Default Getting Track Ready

I am trying to get my 2005 CBR 600RR track ready. I know I need to tape off my headlights, brake lights& turn signals. I'm not sure where the fuses are to pull so the tape doesn't stick due to the heat. Assist me please.

Have you actually talked to the track yet? Every track is different in what you need to have done to a bike to run it there. For example some tracks require your oil drain bolt to be safety wired, some require paned lowers, some require a specific type of gear (1 piece, 2 piece, connected, whatever). You may want to get ahold of the bike tech for that track and see what else you'll need to do to have it passed.

if you are doing a level 1 track day the standard
is taped lights, and that is it. get some cheap block off plates for your mirrors. you wont use them and if they are there they will distract you

also take some blue painters taper with you because tracks give you number stickers for your bike. put the tape on the paint, the sticker on the tape

just unplug the headlight, taillight and turn signals. zip tie the wiring up

do a double check on all the mounting bolts for the plastics, they have a tendency to vibrate loose

check your tires for tread and pressure. brake pads, throttle play etc

basically make sure your bike is in tip top shape. it would be a shame to not pass tech in and have to forfeit a day. or even worse bad brakes that work fine at highway speed fail going from a 100mph straight to a 30mph corner

Yes, I've talked with 2 organizations that use the track & for beginners no major mods, just taping lights & remove ot tape mirrors. Thanks for the inputs.
