Are there any differences between the 05-06 and the07-08 forks other than color of the fork tube? I want the black tubes on my bike. Worst comes to worst I'll have mine anodized but I am curious.

 

oh oh oh....that's a sticky situation that i have looked over for awhile.....i am assuming you want the actual tubes...not the carriers in black....the tubes themselves you can't just annodize....it's much more complicated and EXPENSIVE....my suggestion, just powdercoat or anno the tube holders and be done with it....if you want more info let me know....

 

Basically what I am asking I guess is whether or not the forks are the same with just a different colortube. With the changes I am making to my 2005, the black tubes would look MUCH better than the gold tubes. Anyone know? Thanks

you know what I am unsure but I do not see why they would change them enough to where they would not work. I guess you could call the dealership.

 

go to mid-citieshonda.com and do a parts finder search. then compare part numbers. if they are not the same, then i would say no.

 

Yes & no, the forks themselves are NOT different other than the tube color and spring rate... but the fork bottom where the axle / fender mounts is different, IIRC the 07/08 has a smaller diameter axle, BUT I'm not sure as I have not measured one yet so don't take my word for it. I don know that If you got an entire 07/08 front end including the upper/lower triple and wheel (but the calipers are the same as the 05/06) it will bolt on to the 03-06.
