It looks better when your sitting on the bike, but bravo for completing this project.

Can you lean back against it?

If you sit all the way back on the seat like in a full race tuck, it will hug your hips, but if you sit up straight you have to release the handlebars to be able to lean back into it. (pretty confortable on a stop light though)

If you release the left hand while moving you canturn the torsoslightly sideways to lean against the backrest pad.

I still have plenty of room to move arround on the bike to corner/manuver. completely unobstrusive.

that is coool as hell and if you slap some graphics on there it will be even better... if you dont mind me asking, how much was the storage box from the scooter store?

Thus far the total cost is $185

$80 For the box
$25 For the Salvage seat (pan)
$80 for the paint (took it to a professional body shop to get color matched to the bike's pearl white)

It can be done for much less, as I've found:
$20-$80 for similar boxes on ebay
$25 For another salvage seat pan.
$0 for paint if you find a color that you like, or can live with a mismatched color

So it would be $45-$105.

Either way it is way less than a $250 Givi case, and looks better.
