Those look like LED's with the integrated signal.

I guess if I were to read more I could have figured that out. Damn, I am not used to having a message board (forum) that actually has answers. Shame on me. Doncollins I have never seen a flasher relay. Does it have a coil and two triggers that take voltage to provide switching to the turn signals?

Thanks
Thom

The CA light is brighter than the stock one. I never had anyone tell me the stock was hard to see in day light, but you can test them side by side. When I started the install, I tore everything down and laid the new CA light on top of the stock one. Then I switched the wiring back and forth to see if it was bright enough to see. It was noticeable that the CA has more LEDs than the stock, thus being brighter.

Guess that answers the LED or regular bulb question. LEDs and a lot of them.

Installing the light is easy and fast... comes with everything you need. I didn't use the huge ceramic resistors in the kit because they will heat up just like a bulb. CA offers a electronic relay flasher as an upgrade. I looked at the relay and it's just a signal flasher, like the ones used in autos. So... I'll pick up two of those if my flash rate increases when I install the hotbodies LED front signals this week-end. I'm not saying it's a good idea... but since they cost about $18 each and you need two of them... me and a buddy might take a stroll through a local salvage yard. We have a "You Wrench It" only a few miles away. You pay $1 and walk around to see if you can find your own parts... A few thousand cars and all those free flasher relays waiting to be crushed. You do the math.

I haven't tested this yet, but my theory is if I use two of them running to the tail light, it'll put enough load back on the flash rate to slow it down. But if not... I'm sure more than two relays will find their way into my pocket as I walk around. I like the faster rate now. It's fast but I have completely off and all the way on. If it speeds up to the point they look like they stay on, I'll have to use the relays. The relays have three prongs... 1 in and 2 out (I think). Like I said, this is all still theory to me. I'll find out this week end and see what I have to do and post the results and yes... more large pics. I went back and made the pics on this thread smaller. It took a second or two to load for me and I have a fast connection. If someone was using dial up... I killed them.
