I highly doubt it, the F4i stil has the side mounted exhaust. I dont think your going to be able to squeeze an undertail exhaust in on an F4i

I would be more worried about getting the backpressure correct if I was to attempt a custom, self-fabricated exhaust. You screw that up, you can screw up the engine/performance.

Try mocking it up with PVC first and checking for swingarm clearances and travel before you commit to pipes. Overall I think undertail exhaust are gimmicky, trendy and hurt performance, but they look good. Let us know how you make out, good luck.

That must be why the RR performance is so much worse than the F4i then?

Maybe that's why the Gsxr1000 makes 8% more power than the 1000RR.

Longer pipes=more weight. Higher CG=worse handling, Weight hung out back=hight polar moment of inertia, slow direction changes. All bad. Looks great...hurts performance.

You cant put all the sound and emission conrols stuck inside and snaked through the chassis for long and even now you can't do it efficiently. The Hayabusa could neverdo it, the GSXR cant do it anymoreand soon the 1000RR won't be able to do it. Fashion is just as important as performance when selling motorcycles. I like the underseat exhaust alot, but it definitley slows a bike down.

Wow...nicely put. I have to say that never thought of it like that before but you are absolutely right. Now days, appearance is just as important as perfornamce to some...
