CBR600RR Exhaust on CBR600F4i
will the cbr600 RR exhaust fit on the CBR600 F4i with only a few modifications. Has anyone done this before if so could you show pictures. i really like the RR but i have the F4i. Thanks
I would be more worried about getting the backpressure correct if I was to attempt a custom, self-fabricated exhaust. You screw that up, you can screw up the engine/performance.
well are the f4i and the RR headers the same... i can fabricate the rest.... I think.

Overall I think undertail exhaust are gimmicky, trendy and hurt performance,

That must be why the RR performance is so much worse than the F4i then?
Longer pipes=more weight. Higher CG=worse handling, Weight hung out back=hight polar moment of inertia, slow direction changes. All bad. Looks great...hurts performance.
You cant put all the sound and emission conrols stuck inside and snaked through the chassis for long and even now you can't do it efficiently. The Hayabusa could neverdo it, the GSXR cant do it anymoreand soon the 1000RR won't be able to do it. Fashion is just as important as performance when selling motorcycles. I like the underseat exhaust alot, but it definitley slows a bike down.

Maybe that's why the Gsxr1000 makes 8% more power than the 1000RR.
