Default Blinker/led troubles

Alright, i have a 05 rr and i replaced the factory turn signals with blue leds. when just the rear ones were done, the lights blinked faster, and now that all are done they blink so fast that my eye has a hard time picking it up. Ive heard that a resistor from radio shack would work in slowing down the blinking rate, but i was jsut wondering if anyone knew of a way to get the blinking back to normal? thanks

Put a resistor on each blinker. It will put it back to the stock blink ratio.

Well, Radio shack only had 4.7 ohm and 10 ohm. 10 didnt let enough power through and 4.7 still made them blink too much, so i special ordered 6.8, 7.5, and 8.2 from some no name company. If i hooked up a 4.7 to both sides of teh bike would that make any difference?
